Summer Camps in Canada - Learning Adventures

Summer Camps Offer Learning Adventures in Canada:

It’s summer, and what better way to spend your school break than to explore new places and learn another language at the same time? Canada offers a variety of summer programs that combine a chance to experience Canadian life and culture with classes in English or French as a Second Language.

Summer camps are offered in both urban and rural settings across Canada, generally ranging from one to six weeks in length. Most programs offer language classes in the mornings and extracurricular activities in the afternoons, evenings and weekends. These could include anything from swimming, tennis and horseback riding to art and drama classes, giving you a chance to practice the skills that you learn in class in a casual environment.

Many schools also organize social outings to give you a chance to fully explore life in Canada. You might find yourself visiting galleries and museums, taking in a festival, doing some shopping, or watching a professional hockey or football game. Perhaps you’ll enjoy Canada’s spectacular scenery with trips to the lake or beach, or hiking in the mountains. Your school might also take you to local tourist sights - depending where you are, you could visit Stanley Park in Vancouver, the Rockies near Calgary, or the CN Tower in Toronto.

At the beginning of the program, you’ll likely be given a language test and placed in a class based on your proficiency level. Teachers will make classroom time fun and help you to speak, read, write and listen to the language through a number of different activities. You’ll have many opportunities for practical, hands-on learning.

Most programs provide accommodation in on-campus dormitories, where you can relax with your classmates. Another popular option is to live off-campus with a homestay family, which is an ideal way to fully experience life in a Canadian household.

If you prefer to come to Canada at another time of the year, you’ll find a selection of winter programs as well, offering the same enjoyable combination of language classes and extracurricular activities.

Summer and winter camps offer a once in a lifetime opportunity to immerse yourself in Canadian culture, make new friends, and gain a new skill. There are many programs to choose from across the country, and you can pick one according to location, start dates, price, type of accommodation, and activities offered.

We invite you to enjoy a memorable learning adventure in Canada by participating in a summer program!
